New Website

I’m pleased to announce the re-launch of my website with an all new design and features. My old site was getting old in the tooth, having had it since 1998. I had wanted to make a new website for myself for years, but I hadn’t came up with something I really liked until now. I find that designing for yourself is probably the hardest task a designer/artist can handle.

The new site is powered by Expression Engine, a spectacular content management system that allows you to publish and control your site through your browser, and that allows me to add some great features to my new site:

  • Fine Art and Design galleries, run totally by EE’s weblog module.
  • A guestbook, so please feel free to give me some love or hate.
  • Mailing List, sign-up to receive the latest buzz from me
  • And of course the usual suspect these days, my blog

Over the next few days and weeks I will be tweaking and adding some more great features that I did not have time for, such as RSS/Atom feeds, an online shopping cart to sell my art and new content.

New Art is Brewing

I am hard at work on some new paintings. I admit I haven’t had much time to work on my art over the last few months due to other busy aspects of my life but that is changing - I’m all set to dedicate all my will into creating some great art.  Stay tuned to this site for new art posted.

I think you have done a nice job with the redesign.  I have used Joomla before and hate it.  Do you find this CMS to be flexible enough and search engine friendly?

That expression engine CMS looks really interesting. Do you think it will become more popular than the likes of Wordpress and Drupal or joomla? I’m a wordpress man myself but i can definately see huge potential in expressionengine.

That’s true, designing a website can be a serious challenge even for an expert. It depends on: client needs and requirements, taste, domain specifics and the list goes on. You did a good job, I can see the carefully selected details and the sustained work you had.
